Halo, the most over-rated game series of all time.

I play online sometimes, username is boboliam, but I'm no geek. I'm a nerd.

I can't believe you bought a 360, haven't you seen the news? They had to massively lower the price because; in an industry where a 0.5% failure rate in machines would be considered a serious problem, every Xbox360 has a 33% chance of failure within the first year. They skimped on the testing and didn't put a large enough heatsink into it and as a result the consoles are melting their own DVD-ROM's. The head of Microsoft's whole Xbox division has since resigned. You can read about it here, and this picture will allow you to tell if you've bought a repaired model or a likely-to-fail model. Although as far as I'm concerned the problem is in their use of 90nm chips instead of 65nm chips. They'll make the switch to 65nm soon, but it's always best to wait until these problems actually get fixed, instead of just being patched up a little.

The good news is that if your console stops working within the next three years they'll fix it for free.

yup^^

mine has worked no problem since day one and had no faults whatsoever, and i got it near the release date. i guess im lucky.

i havent really played it much this summer, despite the winter like weather i have still somehow found other things to do. but i agree i was never really into halo's, just dont get what the fuss is about it.

last game i played consistently online (and loved it) was gears of war.

Yeah, Gears Of War is really fantastic. Bioshock is another one that's completely worth getting. I'm sure you're entitled to get that extra heatsink put into your 360 even if it isn't broken. Apparently the problems start when you have it turned on for more then three or four hours at a time.
